The 59th version of the Ontario Open Skeet Championships will run this weekend at the Oshawa Skeet and Gun Club.

Preliminary events are available starting early on Friday. The Doubles event will start Friday Afternoon.

The 12Ga will be contested Saturday Morning with the 28Ga in the Afternoon.

Sunday starts with the 20ga, with the sadistic .410 event Sunday Afternoon.


There is still space available if anyone is interested in shooting.

Spectators are very welcome if you want to stop by and have a look.

Day 1 Update

Weather was gorgeous. The humidity finally let off, but somene turned on the fans full blast.

Doubles were difficult on Friday at the Oshawa Skeet and Gun club.

John Kapron finished 98x100 for CH
Steve Loveday was RU after a shootoff of 96x100

12ga and 28ga run tomorrow.

Saturday had beautiful shooting weather. Warm, sunny and the wind cut down.

The wind picked up Sunday at the Oshawa Skeet and gun club, which seemed to put shooters back in their comfort zone.

In the 20ga five shooters posted 100s and another three had 99s

Don Walton, Marc-Andre Jodoin, Charlie Peacock, Ron Colin and Jerry Gagnon shot off their 100s. Charlie Peacock came out as Champ with Ron Colin finishing as Runner Up.

The winds didn't let up for the .410 either. Three shooters came in with 97s as the top score of the day.

Charlie Peacock was Champ again, with Brad McRae as Runner Up.

In the HOA event, Marc-Andre Jodoin won his 3rd consecutive OSSA Championship at 394x400 with Charlie Peacock as Runner Up, and Ontario Closed Champion with 392x400.

Dominic Raponi was HOA Junior Champ.

The HAA event Marc-Andre Jodoin was Champ with a 487x500 and John Kapron Runner Up with a 486x500.
