Ontario Outdoors Card Renewal

Too early - you can't renew until the second week of December, or so I was told Friday when I went into Service Ontario to print off my moose tag instead of printing it off at home.


BTW there were 3 hunters in there who tried to print off their tags at home who and came in to get it printed off - apparently all the issues are still not fixed....

The print button results in a PDF file. When I tried it, it appeared that nothing happened, so I tried it again. The 2nd time, I just happened to notice a quick flash in the top right corner of my screen where the downloads button on the browser toolbar is. So I clicked on that to open up the list and there were 2 fresh PDFs there. The 1st was my summary and tags, the 2nd as summary only (cause 'you can only print it once'). I guess I set my browser up to neither display PDFs in a browser tab, nor prompt to save or open; it just downloads them. This is perfect for me when I am clicking on something in a web site that I know will download a PDF but in this case I was expecting the print preview page they used to have for the temporary eLicenses.

Maybe this is what happened to those other 3 hunters?
 
I'm not sure of the nature of the problem but the lady in the Stratford office said they were well aware of the problem.

At the last local gun club meeting about 1/3 of the members had trouble with the system, but everyone knew at least one other person who also had issues. Same story form the guys at work who hunt.
 
Renewed mine yesterday. No issues. Also bought my 3 year small game, 3 year cons fishing, and dog license.

As others, my existing card expires Dec 31 2019.
 
I renewed mine as well, plus bought the 3 year small game and fishing license.... Printed off the summary, now just waiting for the new card to come through the mail.

Grateful for threads like this, it reminds me to get it done :)
