Just curious if anyone else has heard or attended these events in the past?

The Ontario Prepper's Network has organized this for four years now, last year was my first time attending the annual meetup, and as I understand they organize different events through the year.

http://annualpreppersmeet.com/ Is the event's website. Dates for this year's event is next weekend, July 8-10. The location is in the Kawartha Lakes region and a schedule is available on the website. If you plan on going, say hi, I'll be flying the Zombie Squad flag with a small group of our members.

Last year's presenters offered a wide variety of practical survival skills, and a lot of them are back this year. I highly recommend the stick fighting instruction on the Friday night, and wild edibles walk on the Saturday.

My son and I will be there... I'm excited :)

How old is your son? Will he be partaking in the kids activities or the adult lectures? The guy who teaches the stick fighting Friday night/kid's self defence Saturday is a fun guy to work with and I've seen him do some kids workshops on Facebook.

Weather wise looks like a mixed bag, hot Friday, thunderstorms Saturday and gorgeous Sunday.
