Ontario rifle season- just around the corner

Only a week and a bit to go till 2 weeks off to do what I love the most, get out in the bush and relax. I only was able to take 3 days last season, and I'm still pouting about it yet. Just wanted to wish everyone good luck and please take care. Sincerely- Ken.
 
same to you scar and thanks. only 2 weeks off between moose and deer hunts.there's just no rest for the wicked. I know it's a dirty job but somebody has to do it, it's the price you have to pay to put meat on the table. have a good one evrybody
 
I look forward to my "nap" week every year :)

I have been deer hunting for 6 years now and have yet to shoot at a deer. Last year was the closest I ever came. It was raining and I had covered myself in a ground sheet. When I woke up and removed the ground sheet from over my face there was a deer standing not more then 15 feet away.

By the time I came to my sences and picked up my rifle all I scene was his white tail as he hopped into the bushs.

The food was great, hunting friends are a blast, and the naps are AWSOME! I fill my fridge with moose each year. Deer hunting is just a bonus :).
 
Well, from what I saw last weekend, it should be a good season in Central Ontario.
In typical "me" fashion, while moose hunting last week, I spooked several Whitetails (but no Mooose).

With all those White's hanging around my hunting ground, I'm sure to run across several moose in two weeks, but chances are I won't see any of the Whites I spooked last week!!!!
 
Im getting stoked here too, especially with the cool mornings, just hope the rain f's-off by then.
Just me and my grandfather again this year, should be awesome!
Good luck guys, and dont forget the cameras!
 
We are "lucky" enough to have the latest opening day in ON, so I have to wait until Nov.19. Hope I connect this year, skunked the last 2. We were skunked in moose season, my son-in-law saw one but didn't shoot. Hopefully I am due.

now i have to book another week off already to hunt deer:eek:
man it really sucks to be me ..woe is me;)

cant wait !!!!!!!!!!! im 3 for 3 since i started hunting with my new camp :) BUT the 3 consists of 2 does and a fawn... have only seen 1 buck briefly for 2 mins as it walked in the distance.. it was shot by my buddy :)

I got the WHOLEEEEEEE week off for the area56 hunt... time to put the 7mm to work on a big buck ( if i ever get to see one ! )

Next thing you know someone going to force you to go fishing. Better slow down or you might start to miss work.
