Ontario Test Return times?

Starting week 8 for me, advised by Ontario CFO that 8-10 is the norm now that was 2 weeks ago.

It'd be interesting to find out from them what's causing
this backlog. When I was applying, it was Oct and their
reason given was the start of the Hunting Season. (Five
to Six weeks, they said.)
We are in December now. I just wonder what could be
the reason for delays.

Just recieved my CRFSC results, 7 weeks plus a day.

Waiting for my non-resticted results... Look the test Oct 12th I think... that second weekend of October, so many moons ago...

Well it looks like there might be more waiting involved if Ontario is backlogged.

Just had my phone interview (along with my references) and at the end they said they have completed processing my application and will forward to Ontario for final review.

That should only take another 7 weeks. :(

I would send in the CRFSC results and wait for the CFSC.
(Logic dictates, that to have passed the R you had to have passed the NR. Based on this, offer to get the interview done. You might not get it but it could nudge a little bit closer to the front of the line.)

Guys, after I send in my registration papers with the stamped results how much longer does it take to get just my PAL# not the card just number.

I want to buy a gun but I dont want to keep the poor guy waiting, They received my results Nov 15th 2010 I called in they said all the information is good. Will I receive the number on the 29th day? Or maybe even 30-33rd? Or is it a much longer wait than that?

Going on week 5 waiting for my test results (rpal). Sent in my application 2 weeks ago, showed up online today as received, less than a week after sending it. I'd love to get everything wrapped up before the new year, but not looking good.

Nope, not looking good. You've got another 2-3 weeks before your results come in....

They do not as a rule send you the PAL number but check your status online (daily or hourly if you will) until you see license issued. At this point expect them to mail to you directly (or via the CFO..... YMMV) within a couple of days.
You could call in after you see that it has been issued and ask for the number. No guarantee that they'll give it though. Good luck.

Finally got my stamped results in the mail today!!!!! I guess my 6 week wait wasnt too bad compared to some of the stories I've read. Now I have to find a fax number for the RCMP and fax my results in. As well I'm going to send them in the mail tomorrow morning just in case they dont like faxes.

Called in and even got both my references to call in (they didnt want to talk to my partner). Current application status: approved.

Same day approval after 2 months of waiting for my results. Not bad, expecially considering my last reference called in at 1630 NB time.

Too bad Im leaving for Victoria this weekend, not like Ill need ot over there!

Right on, guess I should get on the ball and call in myself!

Kudos to the Ontario CFO

While waiting for my club-sponsored LT-ATT (I submitted my application to the Club on the 6th of December) I thought, "Why the heck not? I'll request a Short Term ATT so that I can go shooting my new revolver, at the club, this Saturday and Monday."
So I emailed the CFO with that request late-ish on Friday.
Of course, there was no response from them on Fri or Sat (yes , they're closed.)
But imagine my surprise this morning on finding an email from them with a ST-ATT number for the weekend.
I phoned them to be sure that Monday was included (they had mentioned weekend but did not specify ......up to Monday 23h59m.) Yesirree! Monday is included and MOREOVER she informed that my Club LT-ATT was issued as well
and that I could pick it up from the club.

Afterwork today I'm going home and pick up my new gun and go shooting it.

This Season is going to be a very Merry Christmas (even though the range is closed on Christmas.)
