I am aware that in Ontario turkey hunters need a special course in order to purchase their turkey hunting license. Is the course applicable to non-residents and if so how do they take it, does one have to go to Ontario for a day just for that? I have hunted in Maine and just wondering what I would have to do to hunt in Ontario. Thanks for any help.

There is NORMALLY a course available the day before the season opener, depending on the location. But yes the course is mandatory. BUT, turkey are doing very well here in Ontario, and you can then hunt for two birds in the spring, and one in the fall, worth the effort if you ask me!
