Maybe I'm way behind the news here but I just recieved an email back from the MNR about a question I asked about wolf hunting.
Apparently now, to hunt wolves in most northern Ontario WMU's you must buy a $10 resident wolf seal or $250 non-resident wolf seal. (limit of 2 per year) No hunting wolves from April to Sept.
Southern Ontario is excluded, so coyote hunters need not panic.............yet.
Is it just me or does anyone else find this to be a real piss off. How many more time are these morons going to bow to the pressure of anti-hunting groups. (Keep in mind this is also one regulation the OFAH went along with)
I think my line in the sand has just been drawn. No wolf tag for this hunter, ever. I see more wolf sign in the bush around here than I do any other critter, no joke. All this because some neddle #### biologist at queens park cant see any wolves from his office window so assumes they must be near extinction.
What's next, rabbit and squirrell tags. Why do I bother with a small games licence anymore.
Rant off
