Hi Guys
I'm fitting my M305 to a walnut boyd's stock and it appears the op rod guide contacts wood at the bottom of the channel. There is no give between the front band and ferrule when squeezing it and their is no contact i.e. I can slide a piece of paper under it easily.
Should I sand out the excess wood so there's no contact between the gas system and op rod guide essentially free floating from the receiver forward? Hopefully this restores the correct tensioning I've been reading about which is necessary for accuracy?
Thanks for any advice
