M14doctor brands are in stock, I saw them at the latest clinic. I hear an aftermarket spring helps as well, if someone could confirm that would be nice. Mine is Norinco and I'm not sure if I should swap it out, the shipping costs like 3x the value of the part so I've been hesitant.

Hi,
I ordered a replacement recoil spring from Wolff.
They had a minimum order value so I added some other items and, yes the shipping cost is high but given the lack of suitable alteratives locally the cost was worth it.
Performance wise the two new parts have transformed my 14S.
Regards
Tack

Forgot about him...

How much is he selling them for anyway?

I bought the CanAm M14doc rod guide as the first upgrade to my m305. I find it's a lot easier to keep a small amount of grease on the rod and spring with this version.

Just so you all know, I do not manufacture NM guide rods and my involvement with the manufacturer of the guide rod availlable at canada ammo and sfrc has ceased. This manufacturer is no longer associated with nor permitted to use the M14Doctor name.

It is a fantastic guide rod, and you should have one in your rifle... But it is not an actual M14Doctor product and I do not endorse the use of my name on product not manufactured or marketted by me .
Just thought I'd make that clear.

how much benefit does one see over the stock guide rod? I understand that it may make it cycle smoother but does it affect accuracy at all? (sorry if this is highjacking this thread).....thanks ahead of time for anyone's response

It's the easiest upgrade to do, drop in and go. I found it improved the consistency of my groups and made greasing the spring easier but didn't see noticeable accuracy improvements.
