JohnOne, With your connections in the Czech Republic........, do you see a chance of getting in some of those "Skorpion" semi-auto SMG look-a-likes?

I recall a small number of them coming into Canada several++years ago and they sold out quickly, so much so I had little chance to get one

Now I see that CZ USA has been selling the pistol version in the US (this one doesn't have the folding stock, so it has been allowed to be imported by the BATFE into the US).

Can you get some of these in WITH the folding stocks?

Wasn't the Skorpion a .32 ACP? Therefore prohib? A 9x19 version would be most cool if it could be done, I have no idea how much work would go into the switch if i would be practical and also if the market could support selling enough units to make the re-engineering economical, but I would very much like to have something like that.

The originals came in a variety of calibres (.32, 380 and 9mm Makarov, and yes, the vz 68 variant is in 9mm para).

I thought prohib status was based on barrel length (less than 4.1"?)and not calibre (I could easily be wrong). The skorpion is over that barrel length (approx 4.4 to 4.5" long) for sure. So, if the 32 and 380 ones are banned, maybe the 9mm para one can be brought in!

For the most part yes, but pistol in .25ACP or .32ACP is also prohib. (With a few exceptions for competition pistols.)

I'd like a pistol Skorpion with 10 round pistol mags. Then afterwards buying a folding stock to add on.

I forgot to add that I saw one advertised at a past Bud Haynes auction---it was in 380 calibre and was listed a restricted!
