Opening for duck

Went down to the bog of Scug for the opener of duck hunting or Scugog,anyways its an annual hunt thats bin goin for over 20 years.Drove down Friday night,late,didn,t get there till 1130.By the time we got are visiting done it was after 1 and didn,t leave much room for sleepin.Got up at 430,got the coffee goin loaded the boat,most of the #### was loaded the nite before,just lunch.pfds,shells and guns,oh ya the dog Buddy black lab that goes through the water like a tank.Boat to the blind and me and the dog get out and my buddy puts out the decoys,while I hold the light for referrence point.Did a u shape into the wind,with the robow ducks and wind duck and landers up front so hopefully we don,t shoot them.Put 4 geese out on the edge of the grass at the farthest point from us and finally put 4 woodys in front of the blind to the right so the dog doesn,t get tangled.Their landing in the dark,probly put up by other hunters.Shootin light arrives and the weather is buty mabe to nice.Comin right at us and my buddy hit one and down it goes behind us in the bull rushes deep too, #### lost bird.Come in down the weed line and I hit one down it goes in the bullrushes just off the end of the boat.Turn the dog loose for an easy retreave.Dogs runnin and swimmin and comes back empty handed.In come the the geese and we both hammer the lead goose and down he goes to far for the dog to see,it swimms away.Luckaly to my buddys kid in the next blind.Got a blue wing teal and thats it and didn,t even shoot a hole box off.Did the night shoot and never even fire a shot.nicest sunset I,ve seen duck hunten there.Sunday mornin,very nice again.The colours in the leave were poppin in the mornin sun rise.Single goose comes in low,off the lake on my buddys side.He pounds and down it goes,runs across the water for 300 yards.my buddy jumps in the boat with the dog and goes after it.I,m sittin in the blind and I here something smashing its way throught the buullrushes and out pops a mallard,draggin it wing and boom one down.Couple of woodys down the weed line boom 2 down.My buddy gets back with the goose,the dog ran it down in the rushes.Blue wing come in and boom 3 down.Nice flock of geese come over tree top high mabe less and we both open up.I can see the pellets hitten and nothen happens,my buddy nocks one dead and the dog retreave it purfectly.Not my best hunt but saw the nicest sun rise and sets in a long time.4 ducks and 2 geese.
