How are these for opening up? I am looking at a IBI heavy or M24 profile barrel. Looks to be a close fit but curious how to open up if need be.

Thanks

Find someone with a milling machine and a round tip end mill of the proper diameter

Any other method that doesn't use a cutting edge, is hard to control and makes a mess.

Kind of what I thought. I think I will just stick to the Sendero profile then. I don't like screwing around with glass stocks. Wood sure, glass no.

Thanks

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were talking about a fiberglass/pressed carbon model, with the aluminum bedding block.

The carbon can be ''ground'' with a drum or sanding block, if you're careful.

The aluminum block, if it needs any alteration will require a milling machine.

Some B and C stocks can be opened up with your thumb nail...

But the usual barrel channel tools for wood can be used in the barrel channel of a B & C stock.

Does that go for the injection molded Zytel models as well??? I've always had difficulty with those.

The B&C stocks have served me well. I feel that if it fits you well and works well why not? I know some don't think much of them maybe I have be lucky.
