Being frustrated with the horribly placed Picatinny rail on my Fabarm Martial when having a light mounted (the rail smashed my left index finger no matter how tightly I gripped the fore end), I decided to modify a Magpul MOE to fit.

It was surprisingly easy, took me maybe 45 min all said and done to do the mods. I only had to remove a small amount of material from the Magpul stock and drill a hole for the roll pin, and shorten the roll pin about 4mm. It turned out that there was a perfect little shelf on the inside for the Fabarm action bar to sit.

I haven't had a chance to take it out for a shoot yet, but doing some quick, hard cycling and fooling around, I haven't felt any wiggle at all, feels quite solid. If I did it again, I think I'd go just a smidge farther rearward with the roll pin, just to prevent having to remove a bit of material from the inside of the stock where it contacted the receiver. But, so far I'm quite happy with it, and as a bonus, my receiver scratches won't get any worse. Now to just get some trigger time in :D

It was easier than I anticipated. If you have a Dremel, a file, a 5/32 drill bit, and a little bit of skill you'll be good to go. There is only a small rib to remove inside, and the action bars fit right in. Locate and drill your roll pin hole, and you're done. Keep the end of the bar about 6-8mm from the second rib inside and you won't have to file anything else. I butted right up and had to relieve a small bit from the receiver side. Once you have the MOE in hand you'll see what I'm talking about. It is a huge improvement to the stock fore end

Thanks TVPP, I've had my Fabarm for quite a few years, and really enjoyed it, and enjoyed shooting it. But I really wanted to put a light on it that didn't punish me for pulling the trigger, my pictures make it look a lot less used than it is. It's a whole new gun now, and I can't wait to put many more rounds through it.

BL89, the scout mount doesn't block my view much at all. In the pic I posted I had a right side mount with an X300 mounted and planned on using a tape switch once my illumination kit showed up. But I just put the left mount on with a direct mounted Surefire Scout on, and I've gotta say I think that I've found the perfect light setup. It is noticeable just outside the sight picture, but I wouldn't say it is a hindrance at all.

Here's a pic down the sights, they don't line up with the camera but I tried to represent about how much of the light I could see

looks like you used out fabarms / Remington stock adaptor to make the magpul stock work as well.
you and TV are the only ones to do this so far.

BBB, I am using your Fabarm/ Knoxx adapter to mount the SGA. I really prefer it to the pistol grip stock that was on my Martial Pro Forces before.

Now, if I could just talk you into making some with a rotation limited QD socket on the left side instead of the burnsed loop, (maybe with a 30º rearward cant?) then I'd be in in love. As it is, I might just end up grinding off the loop and seeing if I can get a Rem trigger pin replacement QD mount to work.

its somthing we can look at, but the adaptor is not something we make a lot of, we started making these for the fabarm importer about 8yrs ago.
we only make a few hundred a year,we have thought about discontinuing it a bunch of times, but don't lie to do that unless we have to, so we only make them In the down time.

Have you had some time to test out the pump handle mod? Still holding nice and tight?

I am planning to do this to mine too. Great mod by the way.

I haven't had a chance to take it out yet, been swamped with work the last few weeks. Gonna try to get out tonight or tomorrow evening to put a few rounds through it. I've got some low brass bird shot, some high brass buck, and some 3" slugs to try out. Hopefully it doesn't smash my hand up, though from handling it I don't think it will.

Figured I'd add a few pics of the inside of the fore end where the modification was done to help anyone who'd like to try this themselves. Mine is still holding up nice and solid after a short shooting session. I can't see it becoming an issue myself.

And the "shelf" that the action bars sit on. You can see the small spots at the rear of the fore end where I had to relieve for the receiver. You won't have to do this if you don't butt right up to the second rib like I did.
