What's the best ( quality-price ratio) precision-sniper type 308 rifle? ( unrestricted)
You can use combo (different parts) but just put the price around to make sense under 2000$
At that price there's no bipod or some like that.
The stock, the barrel, the action, the mag only.
Is it a T3 tactical?
A 700P with another stock?
And so one.
I'm looking for a 20 inch barrel.

How about a 700P or LTR with a New Barrel. The barrel will afford more accuracy than a new stock. The action would just need bedding to the HS stock.

Could probably have a LTR with Match grade barrel installed for well under $2000. You might even be able to get the action trued in that price.

Visit ATRS website and take your pic.. hers a link to there for sale page.

By "best" do you mean cool-looking or something that it truly precision accuracy?

For absolute best precision, a reminton 700 SPS action, Match Barrel and a custom stock. (Basically, one of ATRS Ricks more affordable excellent rifles!) Paint it black, dress up like green relish and all the bad guys will run like hell.

Out of box best shooter? Tikka Tactical and I hear some of the Savage LE rifles can shoot too. Check out Robertson's stock for the TikTac...uber cool.

I bought a Savage 12F/TR, as well as a Savage 12LRPV as well as a Savage 12F-Class 6.5-284 Norma. The 12F/TR 308 is an excellent shooter to 1000 yards. The 12LRPV .223 has a 2" group at 500 yards. The 12 F-Class and F/TR have a 6 ounce trigger and the LRPV has a 1.5 pound trigger.
Only problem now is finding someone with one in stock.
Savage right out of the box accurate. No tweaking.
The 12 F's will all wear NightForce scopes, target guns. The LRPV has a Bushnell elite 6500 on it, Gopher gun.

I have an LTR remmy in 308 with a timney trigger installed. It is very accurate. By very I mean 1/2 inch for 5 almost every time. I have shot five shot groups in the .3's but not consistently. Likes berger 155's and Varget. Sadly I'm thinking of selling it to fund a 6.5 x .284 project. I have about 1400 invested.

Out of the box I'd have to say 5R Milspec bedded and cut & re-crowned.

Build, would probably be what was mentioned already, SPS action, trued, re-barreled, bedded, trigger work, and a good stock. If you go this route you're looking at a real shooter.

My .02
