Opinion of Ruger SR 1911 owners

I'm thinking about buying another 1911 (really who isn't), and I want this to be a dedicated pistol in .400 CorBon, is the Ruger 1911 a good platform for this conversion?

its my 5th 1911.

though i must confess i have no idea what a CorBon is.
