I'm in the process of buying my first semi-auto shotgun for the next Geese season.

Not wanting to spend 1500$ on a shotgun, I saw a nice Mossberg 935 Magnum shotgun....

Anyone hase experience with it... any comments are welcome !

Thank you in advance !

Simon

I know a few folks that guide and they use 935's, one was telling me how he cleans it once at the beginning of the season and once at the end.

These guns are meant to be fed 3" - 3 1/2" shells exclusively, they will not function with target loads, you might be able to save a couple buck by buying a 930, you will also be able to practice more cheaply as it will function with lighter loads.

I love my 930. Killed a bear with the slug barrel. And several geese with the standard barrel. I really don't see a need for 3.5" rounds, but if you love the kick go for it. The 930 really reduces the recoil to manageable levels.

I have a 935 Flyway ( camo and FO front sight) with a bunch of chokes i can let go for cheap if you want. Got it in a trade and don't use it!

Previous owner used it for all kinds of shooting... Apparently with some break in they can shoot heavy target loads reliably.

Seen a couple green gun owners with em try and say they have trouble getting them to cycle. We then tell them to clean the thing and we never hear back. Had this a couple times, so I'm not sure if that's user inexperience or a gun issue.

Thanks everyone... I think I'll get one..... This will be my Waterfowl shotgun and will hunt geese exclusively with it.......

Canucklehead... PM sent (But I dont think my PMs are getting through in the pase few weeks.... did you get it ?)

Cheers

Thanks for all the inputs guys.......

I decided to go along and buy 2 Mossberg 935's (one is for my brother) from Cabelas today........ at 399$ each and free case.. can't go wrong..

The guys I hunt with use 935's The only complaint is that they do not like the cheap / lite target low brass loads. So when we head out for crows or skeet they have to buy the good ammo which is expensive compared to the $ 32 100 round packs of ammo that some semi autos will cycle

935

hi guys just wondering where you guys got the 935 for 400 bucks?

It was on at Cabelas until this past Saturday. I ordered on that day and Sunday they were back to regular price. Came to $481 shipped and taxes in with a free case.

How'd you find your tracking # from Cabelas? First thing I order from them so I'm not sure how their system works.

Canada post automatically sent me an email with all tracking info.... it was all done automatically....

And those shotties look great ! then feel more ''solid'' than my brother's remmy...
