Opinions on a gsg 15 or issc mk22

I picked up a GSG15 about a month ago. I like it. Prob run about 1K rounds thru it already. I'm using it for indoor 2 Gun. The mags are fussy about how they're loaded, but once you figure it out, no prob. I've had zero issues with it. The trigger is decent and it's plenty accurate to 50 yds. There's been some #####ing about FTFs but I've not experienced this. Like I said, load your mags careful so the rounds are seated correctly. Helps to relax the spring tensioner and give the mag a wee tap on the back. The mag also needs a good hard tap to get it seated properly in the mag well. Other than that, it's been totally reliable. Zero issues.

I'm probably too late but I've owned both and still own the gsg. ISSC was gen 1 with all the problems. The YouTube solution solved the light strike problem. Add a little blue loctite. Other problems were loose rails. Same fix. The stock wobbled a bit but it didn't matter when shooting because when mounted, it was stable and consistent. But the pin holding the stock on tended to work its way out. Staking didn't solve it and the loctite? Naw. Oh well. It shot like a laser, skinny barrel and all. Sold it due to boredom. That happens a lot. Bought the gsg a few years later and had no problems. No stock wobble. Would still buy an ISSC at the right price

My GSG 15 has been flawless after the first 2 mags where i tried to use Remington Thubderbolts. Had to by a 22 Tipton rod just for this rifle to tap out the stuck live rounds from the chamber. After using respectable ammunition this gun has fired over 1000rds perfectly with CCI minimags and AR tactical shooting the tightest groups. I get about 2 inch or less depending on the ammo (about 1 inch with cci) at 50m and about baseball size groups at 100m. I am using a inexpensive Norinco 4x30. Mags take some time to load but it's because they hold 22 to 24rds. I think it's one of the best purpose built 22lr trainers around. For those that are interested n accessories I think one of the rails can hold your Swiss army knife lol.

Don't buy the ISSC MK22
Instead
Buy the GSG 15

I also recommend some extra mags 3-4 so you can load in the morning and shoot all day

I own an ISSC MK22, it was made after 2014 & has none of the problems that plagued its early models. It has been very accurate & fun. At 25 yards it will make 1 ragged hole on paper, out of a 22-24 round magazine. The gsg-15 is identical internally, & I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one of those either. I like the SCAR type butt stock on the ISSC MK22 more than the gsg-15 stock, but that’s why it’s nice to have choices.
