Found one of these little numbers at a local store.

It's a consignment sale I think and the owner is asking for $190. Comes with 2 magazines and a Bushnel scope. Been looking for something like this to pick up as a cheap plinker and something for my g/f to use as well.

I've done a bit of reading up on it and came across several threads reffering to it being Jam prone.

Anyone have any experience with this rifle and would care to share their opinions on it?

There's lots to be said about a bolt action repeater.
Would they offer a money back guarantee if it doesn't perform to
your expectations?

I kinda doubt it tbh as it is consignment. Caveat Emptor and all that jazz.

$200 is no biggie but would rather hold off for something more reliable if it is an issue.

There was a bolt action there too now that I think of for a similar price, I just thought both of us would have more fun with semi auto.

A Marlin 70hc is on my "I really shouldn't have sold that one" list. Essentially a box mag fed model 60 (some parts interchange). Accurate, reliable, and affordable. They are not particularly jammy, but like many semi .22's, can be fussy about ammo. Using round nosed stuff eliminates many jam issues.

I'm not certain a used 70 is worth more than a new 795 though.
