Hi everyone, I bought a Weaver T-6 scope with an AR-15 mount about 25 years ago, had it on a rifle only once, so I"ve decided to sell it.

Does anyone venture what a reasonable asking price I should ask for it? With the modern day optics and rail systems, someone would have to appreciate this scope as I believe it was a nice unit in its time. I've only seen one recently on ebay and that was a Japanese model. My scope was made in the US.

I am assuming this is the Target series, not the hunter series (K, D, etc). When I was shopping for a classic weaver last year, I missed many auctions for the T-6 and the similar variable target models as the price climbed out of my acceptable range. It seems like they run anywhere from $200-$300 (bid on one very nice V series that went for $325) depending on condition.

While most of the hunter series cap out around $100, if you have a very clean and functional El Paso unit, I would think that you might get $250 or more if you are patient. You probably won't target the Black rifle crowd very successfully, but rather someone getting into entry level precision or looking for a nice classic unit to match an older high quality hunting rifle.
