Looking for opinions on Canadian BDX .45 ACP ammunition, not just the projectiles. Gagnon Sports is selling 200 rds for $89 and I thought I would try it. Will be shot from a Glock 21C and a Jericho 941 of the same calibre.
Thanks

it is either small primer or large primer brass. good for reloading as it is loaded to make 173+ power facter...I have used lots....and lots,..and lots....and lots and pallets of Kurts ammo.

I've shot BDX. Never had an issue with their 9mm, 40SW and 45ACP gold lines. The 45ACP were all small primer. I got mine from Gagnons out in Oshawa.

Tried a box of 200, 45ACP BDX to break in my Glock 21 Gen4 when new, and thought the gun was a lemon. Turned out the BDX ammo was the problem, about 6 stovepipes, 13 slide jams and about 20 fail to feed out of the box/bag of 200. No crimp at all, and many of the bullets were being pushed deep into the cases while loading as the bullets were that loose in the brass. This was about two years ago, and local dealers said that a brother-in-law was loading stuff for BDX for awhile and pretty much ruining the name for awhile.................either way I won't chance it again. I have since fired about 850 Winchester and Norinco factory loads and 100 of my own reloads through it without any malfunctions or issues. Choose your own adventure, and good luck

Yikes! That ain't good. Hopefully they pulled the batch. Good thing I reload my own now.

I have an order in on a box of 200 from Randy @ Gagnons. Should arrive in a couple weeks or so. I guess I will give it a run with these on the 2 pistols and see before I commit to getting more. I read somewhere they have bronze cases, not brass (bronze and brass are similar copper-based alloys technically), is that true or am I misinformed? I dont know if bronze casings are candidates for reloading.

I've also been using .45 ACP and 9mm BDX for the last year or so and will continue. No issues what-so-ever. BDX gets a big thumbs up from me.

I bought 1000 rounds of 45 a couple years ago. It wasn't loaded hot enough to cycle my HK45, worked fine in my buddy's 1911. I have a 1911 now as well so it will get used up with that.

I will say Maurice here in NB was great to deal with, he exchanged the ammo with a new batch and the same thing happened with the HK. It was brand new at the time so I figured it just needed the recoil spring broke in, but worked fine in a brand new Norc 1911, so I guess the slide on the HK is just a bit heavier or something since even after 2k rounds it still won't cycle it fully.

I've been paying $400/k for S&B which works out to $80/200 rds. Too bad I just bought the last case a week ago:dancingbanana:
