Opinions on Colt 20" hbar barrel

Anybody have em? From what I've read they are a little older, but any other info would be great!
Thanks

If you find one for cheap, grab it. Big beefy barrel, I built a rifle around one.

Couple of pics compared to a Colt Canada SA20 barrel:

I don't take it out as much as I'd like, but the rifle is capable of sub MOA groups with SMKs:

Quality barrels as already indicated. Chrome lined, but very accurate.
I have about 10,000 rounds on one of mine and it is still 1 moa accurate.

Thanks for all the great responses everyone! So here's the deal: I can pick up a used one for $200. A brand new Rainier 18" match SPR is worth about $420 with tax/shipping. I'd be using it for mainly the odd 3 gun match/range use. Let's hear some weigh ins. Let me know if there's any other criteria you want to know.
Thanks!

Depending on how many rounds are through it, $200 if gently used is a decent deal.
It is a bit on the heavy and long side for 3 gunning where most shooting is close up, but if you can swing it, totally usable.

Back in the day I had an AR15 A2 Delta HBAR which was the top model at the time from Colt.

Had 1:7 twist rate and I ran 69 grain SMK's with about 25-26 grains of Win 748 ball powder.

Accuracy was about 5/8" at 100 yards and the fast twist with that bullet was devastating on ground hogs.... and Whitetail deer.

Too bad we cant hunt with AR's any more... The good ol days.

1:7 twist with heavies are where its at for 223.

If you want it for 3 gun I'd look at something else. There's a reason you don't see them anymore, they weigh a ton and aren't practical for a combat rifle. I had an 11.5" HBAR and it was ridiculously heavy for something so short. It now sports a government M4 14.5" and despite being 3" longer weighs less and handles much better.

If you want to punch paper from the prone using a bipod then the HBARs are great. For 3 gun I'd be looking at 16-18" lightweight to medium profile barrels.

For a precision rifle in the 20" range, without it looking like some kind of high-speed monstrosity, I would definitely like one of Colt's nice and thick barrels but as others have mentioned the weight would be an issue depending on what you do with it.
