Opinions on Leopold replica scopes?

I had one and only had it mounted on a .22 reticle went wonky on me, I would be shooting and all of a sudden I would be 2 feet low, two feet right.... and so on. all this at 25 yds !!
last one I will buy, props to leettactical though as they replaced it with a new one for me, which I then sold.

Their awesome with see through rings, they suck with std rings (messes up the cool look) 
I've got two of them. Now remember that when I compete, I'm using a Leupold Mark 4 M1 LR/T 6.5 x 20 x 50mm on my sniper rig. My wife rocks a Super Sniper on her Winchester M70 StealthII sniper rig.
For my less serious applications I bought 2 of the Leupold knockoff 3.5 x 10 x 40mm M1 for the purpose of horsing around. I've got one mounted on my .223 SPS M700 groundhog rifle. And I've mounted one on my CZ 452 Varmint to make it look like a tactical scope. It's my training rig.
No I don't need to be cranking on the knobs and I needed a scope or 2 around the $ 100 mark. I'll be darned if I'm gonna buy another TASCO scope. So I figured for $ 200 to land these 2 scopes, I was further ahead. The side focus works really well from my shots of 25 meters to 150 meters. Good enough for the girls we go out with.
When they break, they break and I figure as long as I got over a year's use outta them, who gives a shzt? I've got many rifles that need glass. Some have serious demands, and some are for farting around. Those farting around rifles, get the Leupold knockoff scopes where I don't need to be depending on said repeatability. Hey , for a hundred bucks, who gives a crzp? Find out what works for you. I used to have Leupolds on all of my rifles, until my sons and wife started shooting. Then I had to cut corners somewhere.....

That's exactly the perspective we need... buy one for kicks and giggles. For less serious applications (read: whenever you need a cheapie Bushnell / Tasco), then you shoulc consider one of these knockoffs.
I feel that on my groundhog gitter (kills at 100 to 300 steps) and my CZ452 Varmint, this is all the glass I need.
Yes, in the past (before my wife joined the game) I could put Leupolds on all my rifles (4 of them), but once SHE joined my shooting fun, I had to buy rifles for HER (not my rifles, since she has a PAL also).

A real Leupold is a great investment and has a lifetime warranty no questions. I don't like the idea of a disposable scope. I have fun rifles but never compromise on optics. Unless it's a rimfire then you could get away with a Tasco mildot. For centerfire Leupold is your best bet. Although I do really like Weaver scopes and know some police forces use these on their first reponse squad rifles like semie moa rifles in trucks- not sniper rifles.

I was once in need for a scope on a 6.5x55. I was afraid I'll do the swap...that's why I thought about not buying one n the first place. Getting to the point where I was waiting for a new scope to try a load with the 6.5... I did it. I put the 3.5-10x50 on the 6.5
At that poin I wished I got the smaller 40mm, but for my surprise, the scope held. And the whole session (75+ rounds) went good.
I got the BDC one and I didn't play with them yet...but I'm still impressed that is was fine on a 6.5...
Would I buy another? sure.

i have a 3.5 to 10 on my m14. shoots around an inch with handloads @100m. clay pidgeons everytime @200 and tips over the steel rams at 500 when you squeeze the trigger. so sure i'd like to have a top end leupold but then i would have to sell the m-14. i'll just keep shooting it till it stops working then who knows? well over 500 rds now and still working..
