Opinions on Mueller Tac II 3-10 tactical scope

Anyone here in Canada, has this scope or used it???
I'm looking into buying the scope for the Savage 10FP rifle will get Picatiny 1-piece rail withe Ferrow or Leupold rings

I researched many scope mfrs when deciding on a new scope and Mueller was definately in my top 3 and the Canadian dealer, Phil at Whitefalls, has a very good reputation. If you go to this main "Optics" forum, use the search option for Mueller and you'll get several links for good info.

Mueller

I have two Mueller APV 4.5x14 and my hunting buddy has two as well. We have found them to be very good scopes, comparing them to Elite 3200 and Sightrons. Very clear and precise. Hope this helps.

Thanx for info, any of those use MilDot??? how clear since they are not illuminated???

They are not the Mil-Dot , but during hunting season we saw a group of Mule Deer, couldn't make out horns with a Pentax 10x bino, or a 3X9 Elite, but they were as clear as could be with the APV.

My friend bought one from Phil @ Whitefalls in Man. - He's mounted it to a Sako 75 in .338Wm. He's very happy with it.

I'm just trying to decide if I want Tac II 3-10 or the other Tactical scopes Mueller offers with more zoom, but made in China:rolleyes:

Ruthless-Just an addition to my post, the APV is on a .338 wm has been fired a number of times and performed well. Just thought you might want to know.
 
Doesn't the Mueller site say they won't honour their warranty to people outside the USA? I was looking hard at their stuff, until I saw that.

I had the same question so I contacted Phil at White Falls and he made it clear that the warranty is valid in Canada.

Oh man, I was so close to getting the 4-16x illuminated ($250, nice price!), but saw the warranty was only for continental US, and decided to buy a temporary Tasco and save up for a Leupold, just to be safe. :(

Oh well, when I get my Leupold I'll get to do my own mythbusters and try shooting through a scope:) (if that doesn't offend the scope gods)

I have the Tactical 8.5-25x44mm AO Mildot and I love it, works great, it will be sitting atop my AR180B once it's completely finished ;-) I can't wait to crack it out on some ground squirrels, marmots and crows in the Spring! ;-)
