considering either a cz 455 or a browning t bolt, 50/50 use for targets and small game....big fan of my savage 17hmr, very accurate but I prefer a nice wooden stock and savage lacks in that dept...seems richards microfit doesn't ship to Canada and not willing to work with an importer...

I'll be ordering online so looking for some feedback as I can't handle before I buy...any pros or cons to either?

I'm reading both triggers leave a bit to be desired, but can be worked on

seems CZ is mostly accurate, and the Tbolts can be fussy? but kinda hard to trust accuracy reviews on the internet I guess

does the Tbolt have a plastic trigger guard? not clear on that...and if so, is there an aftermarket replacement, not a plastic fan

anybody have a ruger 77/22? they are the heaviest and more expensive than cz and Tbolt....I'd love an anchutz but little more than I'm willing to pay...would like to stay 1k or under with scope and rings included

I have a T-bolt and it will keep up with both CZ's here without an effort.
For shooting pests, the double mag system is a no brainer.
The one in the butt stock will stay in there even filled.
Plastic trigger guard.

Same gun, different shooter.
This is what this gal is capable of.

My CZ American.
Heavier rifle in this get up.
I can hit 22's pushed in a hole at the same distance as above.

I just put this gal together and worthy of mention too.

I've played with most and owned several CZs. I like the magazine better on the T-Bolt, but I don't like the plastic trigger guard. I've never used a T-bolt that was fussy.

The CZs are awesome, I prefer the 452 over the 455, but both are good. The CZs need the yodave kit, but $18 and 15 min give you a superb trigger. The stamped trigger guard is not ideal, and the plastic magazine sleeve can crack. There is a company that offers aluminum replacements for booth. My CZ s have been very accurate and the actions are tight and smooth.

The Rugers are nice, but I just can't see the extra money giving any value over a CZ with a few tweaks. The trigger is also not spectacular on the Ruger.

NO Brainer CZ . have 2 452,s I sold all others .only other 22 in the safe is 10/22 FS with a pepper laminate stock .

Love my CZ 455 Lux. Bought it with a .22LR Supermatch barrel, but ended up putting the .17HMR barrel on it before I ever put a 22 round through it. It's not overly fussy about ammo, just doesn't like the $10/box winchester stuff, shoots everything else (Hornady, CCI) 1MOA or less at 100 yards, I've only taken it out to 200 Yards a couple times but it kept 1 MOA for me out there, not that I'm any sort of sharpshooter.

I put a Redfield Revenge on some Medium Tally CZ rings on it for optics and the bolt handle clears it by quite a bit. I also dropped a Yodave kit in it, trigger breaks cleanly at 1.75lbs now and was thoroughly bump tested with a rubber mallet by 4 guys before it went to the range :D. Also a Harris bi-pod. Getting excited for gopher season again....

CZ for sure. The quality is there and they are built very solid. The metal/wood finish is great.
