After watching a few YouTube vids of hunting in Europe I began experimenting with a bushnel TRS25 on my tika t3, very quick on moving targets and so far I'm confident on stationary targets out to 400yds. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience running a RDS on their hunting rig

I've been contemplating using a red dot and a magnifier for my new all-purpose rifle. As long as it works for you is the main part.
I think some people may be wary of RDS due to being battery operated, after all you can leave your scope in the cabinet all year and the crosshairs will still be there, but if you forget to change the battery the dot may vanish on you. As long as you stay on top of battery replacement a modern RDS can be a fine choice as long as you practice with it.

[SUB][/SUB]I used a trs 25 on a gun site scout and found it the lens coating to appear very green and dark in low light. As for battery life it's quite good as I'be never replaced the battery on any of the trs I own an own is used quite extensively on my 22. It's been left on more than I can count. If used for hunting I agree, stay on top of it or bring spares. If you get a chance too, stand in the dark and aim at something in the shadows the size of a animals vitals at even 200 yards. Isn't the dot 4 Moa making it a 16" circle at 400, hardly an ethical shot not too mention the trs is fairly low end and not a very crisp dot comparatively.heres the trs next to vortex red dot
