Opinions on Remington 887 Waterfowl

Hey guys,

I have looked at several reviews, as well as had the chance to shoulder/shoot the 887. It feels good but do not know much about it. I do like the non rusting (Armourlockt) coating. I am in a quandry.

I currently have a scoped turkey 870, also have a rifled barrel for it for obviously turkey/deer combo.

My quandry is this:

(a) Buy a 887 for the sole purpose of waterfowl. (Who doesn't want another gun?)

or

(b) Buy a 28" vented barrel for my current 870.


(c) Buy another 870 to just have for the 28' barrel for waterfowl/skeet

Can any 887 owners chime in on their thoughts on how the gun performs compared to the 870?

Personly I would just buy a barrel .the 870 in my opinion is a better built gun.

I've owned several 870s. I've owned one 887. Definitely get the barrel for the 870 you have now or another 870. The 887 was a real disappointment.
