opinions on Rossi single shot and CVA v2 scout rifles please?

Just wondering if anyone has any experiences with them and who retails them in Canada? My brother is looking at a single as a first deer rifle for my nephew. Don't really want to go H&r because of their association with remington and all the issues that go with it. A friend of mine bought a new h& r survivor in .308 2 years ago and had to send it back for repair twice before the just replaced it. Thanks

I have a rossi single for sale in the EE in .270 ... nice enough little rifle and seems well built and sturdy... I like the Handi rifles myself and had no issues with any I owned....
