I'm looking at a 1.25-4 Trijicon Accupoint and I was curious what everyone on here thought of them so I did a search and either I suck at searching or the search feature on these boards is terrible. Anyways I only got 2 results and neither of them mentioned what people thought of the Accupoint...

Anyone care to comment on this scope?

I think the Trijicon Accupoints are the best kept secret in optics.

I traded in my TA-31F ACOG for a 1.25x-4x Accupoint and never looked back.

The Accupoints simply rock. Great glass, lit reticle and no batteries. I plan on buying a 3x-9x for my hunting rig.

Heres my 1.25x-4x mounted on my AR-180:

It has an eye focus, which is critical for me.

The Accupoint reticle is bright and crisp. This photo doesn't do it justice. I picked the amber triangle reticle. You can also go with a traditional crosshair style reticle if you pefer.

You can adjust the brightness up or down by exposing more or less of the light gathering band.

No illumification. (Acts as regular scope)

In a room with almost no light, the reticle is still bright.

Even in a pitch black room you have a lit reticle:

I agree, the accupoint is the cat's a$$. It does come at a cost, both in weight and financial cost. Even with the increase in weight over a reddot, it is still easy and fast to swing if you do any close in shooting, with the ability to look further and make hits.

Yeah that's why I'm looking at it... I figure it'll go good on my rimfire for hitting gophers (i generally use 4x on my 3-9 right now anyways) and it would be a ton of fun at the range when it's cranked right down and I'm shooting swinging targets or it would even be decent enough to take deer with since most shots around here aren't very far anyways. I'm thinking it would be a very versatile little scope that could last me a few years and a few different guns...

I have the TR24G and think it's awesome. Better than the TR21, because it has a true 1x setting.

$850 from P&D was a pretty good price!

I compared both the TR24 and TR21. When looking through a 1x vs 1.25x the difference is almost non-existent.

I settled on the TR21 because it had much better eye relief. The TR21 also had a smaller 1" tube making it noticeably lighter. (splitting hairs I know)

Both scopes rock though.
