I'm new to pistols. I have been looking for something inexpensive but not cheap.

If you really want a Beretta clone, that might be a good option.

If you're just looking for economical options for starter-level pistols, frankly I'd consider the Norinco clones at around $350. There are high value copies of the 1911, Sig, or CZ 75/85, with proven parts interchangeability.

Of course, ammunition quickly becomes more expensive than the pistol, so you might want to think about shelling out just a bit more for something like a barebones M&P (around $600), which has an excellent reputation and very good resale value. Neither can be said about the Turkish clones, yet.

First time I have seen a Beretta Clone, there are a lot of spelling mistakes in the Specifications for that gun...kind of makes me wonder how many other mistakes have been made. On the other hand if the gun proves to be reliable and accurate and well made then I might get one.
Has anyone had experience with these Turkish clones???

The first firearm should get something mainstream, incase anything happen, you are able to get resource over the net because people know about them and able to help you out. For that price, Ruger SR-9 is the first pick.

I got to shoot one side by side with my beretta 92
They shoot really well and the fit and finish is really good id say on par with my 92
But the 92 has a way better trigger and accuracy seems better. But over time im not sure how they would hold up,id still stick with my 92

I'd wait and see how they hold up.....let someone else test them out first. There are some inherent design weaknesses in the 92 design that would probably show up much quicker in this Turkish made piece.

I just decided to take the plunge and pick one up, and it should be on its way to its new home this upcoming week. Ill have to update you guys to how it shoots and how well the fit and finish is.

i just bought one today, when the paper work comes thru we should compare.
i think the fit and finish is pretty on par to the baretta on first look.

finally got it, put 100 rounds thru it, damn thing is spot on, feels perfect when shooting. i would like to try it next the the beretta to see how close they feel.
