Those used to be highly regarded bench rest actions in their days. The one in original condition should be worth at least $750.
Yours with extra bubba's half doz crooked drilled and tapped holes much less than that.
If yours would be left handed one (the right one so to speak) I would offer you no more than about $600.

Yes it has certainly seen some different configurations of sites mounted to it through its life. So if I were to list for 500 dollars on the equipment exchange it should be a fair price?

If it sells and you are happy with $500, then it is a fair price.
I have a TR I set up using a brand new Musgrave action. They may be old school, but they are a superior action.
I'm afraid that those holes are a real turn off for me. Hopefully the ones added to the bottom were done better than the ones on top.

Listed for 450 on the exchange.....Thanks for the help Gentleman. I know it's not new or pretty but with it listed at a lower price it may encourage a youngster to jump in to TR shooting. It's not any use to me anymore so hopefully someone can use it to send rounds down range once again!

Just a thought but those "offset holes" may be offset on purpose. Some TR shooters mount their rear sights at an angle so they can "CANT" the rifle.

That's exactly why theses particular holes were there. My rear site was mounted on it on a slit angle to suit my shooting position

Anyhow the site has been sold. Thanks again fellas for all the input

That flat bottom with no void for a magazine makes for a superior bedding job and sustained accuracy.

And the solid action with just a loading port mages it a very stiff action.

can be used to make an excellent accuracy rifle.
