Zeiss 20-60x85 Diascope / Spotting Scope With Lotutec

I have a chance to pick one up at a REALLY good price but I don't know much about them... I trust that the optics are world class but what about weight? Toughness? Focus? Etc
 
I use one ( straight eyepiece ) for my primary spotter. All the Swarovski and Leicas are all outstanding optics. Had a Leupold 12-40 gold ring. The Zeiss is noticably clearer

My buddy uses a Swarovski STM 80 ( with HD option ) and we are hard pressed to tell the difference. Only briefly look through a Leica

The only thing I would do different is I would opt for the 65. For most conditions ( shooting targets etc ) I am hard pressed to tell the advantage of my 85 over a friends 65. I could then use the scope in the field for hunting

The 85 is freaking huge and heavy..use a good tripod !....and way to cumbersome to pack around

The focus is very precise ( fast / slow knobs ) . As far as toughness I would assume its built like a tank. Never dropped my yet
