Well, the barrel is shiny and the bluing is mostly still there , not perfect by any means but not rusty. I don't know what else could be said about a shotgun barrel well, except maybe it is about 26" longCondition is everything and you have given us no info related to anything other than the gauge: so value could be anywhere from $10 to $300.
Thank you! I guess the guy is all wet at asking $150 for it. He is not willing to move so much as a penny. I just want a bit of a shorter barrel for my 500A because I find the 30 or 32 inch just way to front heavy for my liking.Assuming it is for a M500, maybe $50-$75. Those muzzle bulge dial-a-duck chokes are way less popular than contemporary screw in chokes.
I am trying to determine a fair price for a Mossberg 12 ga barrel that has the C-lect choke on it. Obviously, the barrel is older with having that set up. I'm trying to figure out what I should make as a decent offer.
Thanks for the help
Thank you! I have walked away from that deal. I have a really nice Mossberg 500A with a selection of barrels, including the black powder barrel and a slug barrel with the cantilevered scope mount. I was just going to add that barrel to the collection but not at $150.00 thanks again!Tiriaq is right. $75 tops. $150 is a goofy price for an old c-lect choke 500 barrel. I've see whole Mossberg and Lakefield 500 (same gun) shotguns sell for about $200.
Add a bit of weight to your butt stock will balance that front heavy feeling...I just want a bit of a shorter barrel for my 500A because I find the 30 or 32 inch just way to front heavy for my liking.
Thanks again.
Thanks! I hadn't thought of that.Add a bit of weight to your butt stock will balance that front heavy feeling...
