A local shop has a Savage Lee Enfield states good plus condition, matching with bayonet for $625.00. I like the idea of examining a rifle before buying (so far the two milurps I have came from Epps) but this price seems a bit high based on what Ive seen on this forum. Are there any features on a savage LE that could result in a higher value, other than condition. Thanks.

$625, thats high, even for a reworked No4Mk1/3, unless its a DCRA marked 308 conversion. But thats unlikely as those don't have bayo lugs.

the other option is that it is an early No4 Mk1 produced before the Mk1* and unissued, I think that would have a 4 groove barrel. But that is also unlikely and have a very low serial number, think 0C0### range :)

price to high in my opinion

As woodchopper mentionned, there are special circumstances which might justify a premium price. But otherwise, the price is too high for a common Savage in good+ condition. Unless there is something special, I would suggest that the ask could be almost twice what the rifle is worth. Decent used rifle with bayonet - $300 - $350? Maybe $400? The ask is pretty close to what one of the new in the grease Savages that were sold 35 years ago might bring.
