Opinions/Thoughts on Sig Sauer P220 - Elite/Scorpion & other models with BT and SRT?

Please share.

Seriously considering one after shooting a buddies 226 Tacops.

Really like the p220. The Aluminum grips that come on the elite work very well for me so that would be the direction I'd go, unless you really like the color or the scorpion. If money wasn't an issue, hard to beat the 5" Stainless match elite. I like the half and full beavertails aesthetically though I'm a pure target shooter so don't notice a real difference when shooting. Don't know if they have any influence on handling for action shooting.

Unless we are talking P220 Super Match! Or the rumoured to be upcoming P220 Legion SAO:xes

The P220 is awesome! If you have checked regularly Sig's website, you will notice that the number of P220 models has been drastically cut. If you have taken a liking to one of the axed models, I'd snag it if it is available for purchase.

Ya that is nice too. I'm not a fan of the two tone and I like the weight of a full steel pistol, but the sao sig triggers are very nice.
This one is not too bad either ;-)

P220 X-6? That one is at the pinnacle of Sig greatness! Most people will say P210, but I have shot both, and prefer the X-6, (and the X-5 for that matter).

As far as the Super Match, I too would prefer it was all stainless.

I have a p226 elite e2 with BT and SRT trigger, very nice pistol have had many models and brands and will not sell this one.

I absolutely love the Sig P220R Scorpion Elite or just plain P220R Elite. Both models feature factory night sights and are amazing pistols. Love those eight round stainless mags too, considering its .45 Auto.

Get whatever model you like. You won't be disappointed.

Sig Sauer rocks. I owned a two-tone P226 9mm and a black .40.

Sig P220 Elite -- one pistol that I will never sell. I remember when I first shot it and started laughing over and over at the accuracy. I just could not believe it. That was over two years ago. It made me hate some of my other pistols so much that I had to sell them (including a P229).

Yes that is the one. The level 1 X guns are fantastic for sure.

Doesn't much matter the model, as long as it has the SRT installed. I own both 1911s and some other clean single Acton triggers, but the SRT is as slick as baby sh*t. No creep, zero over travel, and just about as much reset.

I have a scorpion 220 and love it...the grips are amazing the reset is impeccable and deadly accurate. If you are in the GTA area you are more than welcome to try it, I have a couple 220's and the scorpion is my favorite. I almost like it better then my 226 legion.

If I get up that way, i'll take you up on that. Ammo and beverages on me.

If someone in the Ottawa area has one they'd be willing to let me try out, same offer.

I considered the P220 but then ended up going for the P227R, the extra 2rnds in the mag was the seller for me, otherwise pretty similar guns, P227 has a thicker grip cuz the double stack mag but fots my larger hands great, especially with those E2 grips, love it!

If the extra two rounds make a difference, you can get 10 round mags for the P220.
