Knock yourself out... I have in the past. Just one point you should consider, it won't increase its value, and in fact, it may limit your ability to sell it later. If this is your "do not sell" gun, why not.
Paul had a very nice camo gun stainless barrel, black open sights and laminated stock with at least two or three colours on it ... he loved it but wont admit in public ...
the point is more: do not ask here if you are not ready to get a different answer from the one you are expecting ....

Two things wrong. One is the idea of a camo painted stock; the other is the idea that you should care what anyone thinks.
