Hello to all. This is my first posting on this board although i've been a registered user for some time.
My Question is in regards to a Sako Forester in .223 that has been offered for sale to me for $600.00. This rifle is in a caliber that I want: and the conditions seems good.
I promise I am not a seller testing the waters. You will never see this rifle on the exchange, or at any gun shows. I am asking your opinions because I know no one personally that could offer me advice on this purchase.
Thanks, to anyone that replies.

In excellent shape it would probably go for $800. Still has to be in good shape to be worth $600. If the barrels toast your looking at an expensive rebarrel.

a Sako in 223 would be either a Vixen with L461 action or an AI action.

The L579 is a Medium action used on the Forester model...a 223 would never have been chambered in a Forester...'cept maybe in the 491 series action..?

Sakos can vary a lot in value...I've bought them from $500 to $900...condition is everything.
