Hello

Im looking for opinions good and bad , so i can find out as much as i can on the model 7002 Ruger 77/22 chambered in .22lr .
Ive been thnking about a CZ455 , but the Ruger caught my eye at the LGS and sure looks nice . And the 2 are comparable in price . Is it as good a rifle as its 10/22 counter part ?
This would be used for target practice and possibly .22 silhouette for a adult beginner like my self
Thoughts ? Anything helps

Thx

Between the 10/22 and the 77/22~I'd pick the 77/22 hands-down. They are handsome rifles for sure, and think it's a sure bet it would be more accurate than a 10-22. However, between a 77/22 and a CZ452...I'd pick the CZ452. I've had 2 of them, and both were excellent shooters. I rarely hear the 77/22 compared with CZs and I've never owned a 77/22, but no real desire to either with CZs really getting it done for me. Perhaps someone who has both can chime-in.

Some of the CZ 452s are still available new also, although that situation may not last much longer.
I have a 455 American and a 452 Varmint, both in 22LR. Both are very nice rifles for the money. I've not even looked at a 77/22, so no opinion on that rifle.

I have 2 77/22's, one wood/blue the other stainless/synthetic. The latter is my go to rifle around the farm.
I also have a 77/22 WMR and a 77/17.
I sold my CZ 452 FS for no other reason than it was surplus.
All are great shooters.

I have a few 22s, I wanted a new one for gophers. I got a CZ, partly because I have some Brno target guns. I am very happy with it. I did not look seriously at the 77/22 but have a Vq 10-22 that is vg. For your use I would get the 455, I can't see any difference in target score between my 452 and my shooting partners 455. Good luck.

my 77/22 is my go to hunting one as well but my CZ gets the nod when you want to shoot tiny groups.

one or the other - CZ - you can seem to find quite a few used and some are decent priced.

I Have a 77/22 and originally thought it was a good accurate bolt action rifle until I bought a Ruger American rimfire. I am really impressed with that Rifle. I have been reading about the CZ rifles recently and I am tempted to take a look at one.
I also have a Ruger American in 17 HMR and it is also very accurate.
The 77/22 is a nice rifle and really feels good in by hands but it is not as accurate as my others.

I owned and used both the CZ and a Ruger varmint/target. The Ruger was used and the previous owner did the trigger and bedded the stock. All to no avail. The CZ out shot it continuously. BTW I still own the CZ.
