Opportunity to buy a never-used RCBS Pro 2000 - looking for advice

I'm looking to get into reloading and a guy I know has a never before used RCBS PRO 2000 progressive press with auto-indexing.

I know this is a discontinued model and I was looking to start with a single stage press but I figured if the price was right this may be a good opportunity. All the other parts are accounted for and he has about 8 different shellplates.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this press? Will this be more hassle than its worth if I could get everything for $500?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
