Building my first "open pistol" and now it time for an optic.
I have been looking at getting a c-more for my pistol for a while now but there is limited info avail on the features of each model.
What is the "click module" advantage?
what size dot 2,4,6,8,12moa have you had experience with? 2 seems pretty small for pistol work IMO
What do you run? recommendation/suggestions pls.
other choices than c-more welcome as well

click module is just that. you will feel a click when choosing a dot intensity
I have tried both and don't think the click is worth the $.

I like the 8 moa, I think it is the standard. Some guys use a 16 moa dot... But the size can be easily changed. I've ran a 4moa dot before, and on a pistol, it is just way too small dot for me

the smaller red dots are increasing in popularity it seems: RMR, c-more STS, etc. If I was to go with one of these smaller sized red dots, I would pick a mount that is frame mounted, but that is just personal preference

Stick with the basics, get a good mount like the DoubleTap mount and throw a plastic non click switch model on it.
Though I do like the look of the new RTS sight, mounted similar to a slide ride it should work well. A small aluminum mount and it might be a good way to go.
Go 6 or 8 MOA dot, 4 is too small and hard RO pick up, bigger than 8 is too coarse.

As previously stated a 6 MOA C-more with click is the way to go, I prefer click as that will stay where you set it and seem to be brighter than some of the basic knob ones.

If you are going to have Hybrid type holes in the barrel then get a Doubletap alumuminum mount as irt will place the scope 1/2 in further back out of the blast and has a built in blast sheild.

If 9MM used the you may want to consider the sideways type of mount as 9MM sometimes wants to eject into the scope bottom and back into the ejection port.

Otherwise the standard plastic legs work fine.

Be sure to get the plastic dot module cover that protects the dot from blast and powdwer buil up or you will find your dot looses brightness after a year of use.

Have it properly fitted by a competent gunshop.

Thanks guys, this is what I have got so far(hate the grips BTW,may go back to wooden OEM ones till I can get alum ones.I have 3xl hands so they are a bit narrow for me.)
so 6-8 moa dot is the most common---good
are there different grades/quallity levels in the c-more line or are they all the same? just different dot and switches?
Some of you may recognize some of your old parts on here, thanks again

I have been eyeing that one a bit already, might want one in red or silver though. A bit more research and then I will see.but thanks

get the C-more in balck, red or grey seem to be too visible and distract your target aquisition.

The mount you have is fine for a slide ride type c-more.

They make aluminum and plastic, aluminum is stronger and stays set forever but costs more and is heavier. I have aluminum after plastic broke in the middle of a match.
