Did yo put an optic on your Glock 48 or other slimline pistol? The Glock is cut for RMSc foot print, which is also used by Sig Romeo Zero & Hex Wasp micro I believe. Others like the Holosun 507K and Trijicon RMRc need adapter plates.

What did you get? Photos? Reviews?

Holosun 507K, and the CHPWS plate, didn't look back. Surprisingly one of my favorite pistols to shoot, considering have "bigger" hands.

You can put the holosun on without a plate.. you just need to file down the nubs on the optic cutout a tad. There's a video on YouTube of someone who did it.

I watched saw that video. He takes the rear nubs off completely, and shortens the front nubs. Even then it's not full view of the irons.

Well no but the point is to get the optic itself as low down as possible. You'd need to get suppressor height sights still.

Suppressor height sights for the 48 are not commonly available. I'm sure it's the same dove tail cut as regular width Glocks, but the rear blade would likely need to be trimmed so it's doesn't over hang the sides.

The Shield RMSc sits low enough for factory sights out of the box. I think the Sig and Hex do as well, but I'm not sure about those two.

I heard some iffy things about them though..

About the Shield? Please share.

The original version had a plastic lense that got scratched very easily. Granted they changed it up to glass now. It's only auto adjusting brightness... which blows in my opinion. I feel like there was a few other things but I can't recall off the top of my head.

I wouldn't want a poly lens either but that's no longer an issue.

I don't mind autobrightness as long as the irons are usable, which they are the RMSc.

I'm not familiar with a Sentry, and it doesn't show on BBC site. Any more info? Cost? Stock sites usable?

Apparently designed for British troops , it’s a great optic , motion activated , it’s always on and after two years I haven’t even had to change the battery , it’s small . It wasn’t ever on their site as much of their stock isn’t , just give them a call and talk in person …oh it’s a Shield RMSc , can’t remember the price but I’m thinking it was around $500 .
Give them a ring , they’re excellent on the phone or in person .

I heard this as well , mine is glass and it’s got no scratches so far .
