So a buddy of mine wanted to show me up by buying a savage 338 to beat my T-wolf, and he just mind f@cked me with his optic choice. He is using a Vector optics Paladin, and it's holding zero perfectly at 0 -600m (that's all the range he's got) So that got me thinking...

I have some cash to throw at testing this out, but I'd like to get some professional imput, or imput ftom someone that eat, sleeps, and breaths optics first.

Question one: How many G's of recoil dose a 308win dish out?
Question two: How many G's of recoil dose a 338lap dish out?

My T-wolf has the recoil of a 308 to me thanks to that lovely brake on it, and I would like to see for shats n giggles what sort of half market optics can take that beating. The majority of the lower end scopes I see have a shock/G rating of 1000g, now I know that's not much, but I'd love to get schooled on the matter, and see what I csn come up with

I have a few brands and models I want to try, but school needs to be in session first.

Not sure where you get this shock/g ranting thing. It seems like a useless number with no meaning. Kinda like saying that a rifle bullet spins at 200 000 rpm. Sure it sounds great, but it actually means absolutely nothing.
