Okay, I just bought an AR10 from Stag Arms. MultiCal so 7.62x51 and .308win.
Here's my question. What is everyone's go to optic for an AR10 and why and what do you use it for? ie. Competition, Hunting, target, yada yada yada

I think it depends on what your intended use is. I think on the low end a 2.5-10 like the small NF would be great and on the high end something like a regular precision rifle scope in the 5-25 range. I'm currently building a Stag-10 with a 22" 6.5 Creedmoor barrel and the ideal scope for my application would be the 3.5-18 Leupold Mk5 HD but I dunno if I'm going to spring for one. I have a 3-12 Bushnell LRTSi and a 3.5-21 Bushnell HDMR2 that might get repurposed onto it for what I aim to use it as, a precision long range semi. The Mk5 would be the sweet spot mag range wise and it's also quite a lightweight scope.

I have swapped out scopes on my Modern Hunter , .308
Nikon M-308, 4-16x BDC 168gr , great scope for the price / warranty.
Upgraded Burris Veracity 5-25x FFP very happy, great scope.

ADM 30mm mount

Yes the Burris Veracity is a great scope. I like my March 2.5-25x42 as it covers all distances well and has excellent turrets and glass.

One of the guys in my CQB group wants to sell me a Trijicon ACOG but it is reticled for 223.

ACOG is a fixed 3 or 4x (depending on version), so I think I'd want a little more variable power for an AR10... You want to reach out a touch someone with your heavy metal!!!!

That said... I'd be interested in a good deal on an ACOG for my CQB setup!!!:ar15:
