Your recommendation and why please.

Am thinking (painful process):
Nikon 4x 32mm 50m parallax - nice and simple
Nikon 2-7x 32mm 75 m parallax - more flexibility

Leapers 4x or 6x 32 AO - 1/2 the price, adj OA, compact
(have the 3-9x 40mm Leapers, like it better than the Bushnells)

Some form of Red Dot.

Cheers.

Scope

I have a 4 power Leupold on one of my rifles, and I don't care for 4x anymore. give me a 2-7 or a 3-9. Nikon great value good quality glass for the money. FS

Fassteel has a good point about magnification....but with the SA I'd go with a red dot to keep it small and light just like the rifle.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with the Leapers scope. They don't hold value at all, and aren't NEARLY as nice as the Nikon. I have owned two leapers scopes in my day - I don't own any of them now.

Buy cheap, buy twice! :)

Thanks for the suggestions. Handled a couple today, think the Nikon 2-7x 32mm best suited.

Red Dot good too but bulkier (short and fat, just like me, as opposed to long and sleek).

Annoyed at having to loose the open sight - would be nice to have QRW rings and choose to take/leave scope as with CZ452.
