I know this subject has been talked about many times before but I'm gonna ask it again. I'm looking to change up my optic for my CQB rifle and have been thinking about going to some kind of red dot. I may use it for the odd SR match but mostly CQB. Not looking for China made crap. The rifle is a Noveske Infidel. My budget would be between $500.00 to $600.00, I wish i could spend more but the rifle tapped me out at the moment. Any thoughts?
Regards.

best FOV in that price range would be the Eotech.
best battery life in that price range would be the Aimpoint T1 micro (used on the EE)
then for a little less, there is the Aimpoint pro, Vortex sparc, and the Lucid RD.

all are good optics for the price you pay.

I personally like the Eotech for competition, but the battery life could be better. The T1 would probably be your best bet if you can find one on the EE (usually around $600 used with mount), best battery life of any optic out there.

If you're competing and shooting paper or plates, go with something magnified like an ACOG or Elcan. If you're using it for real CQB application, use a 1x magnification dot style sight.

I have an aimpoint micro and an eotech,

aimpoint = light weight, compact, battery life, 2moa or 4moa
Eotech = 65moa ring fast CQB, 1moa refined dot for longer range, I got the AA battery model, cause there cheap, and always around.

I have an eotech and love the holo sight ability. But they're right about the batteries. I've changed mine a few times over the last half year without what I would call "intensive use"

A buddy of mine recently picked up an aimpoint, and I am amazed by the idea of 3 years

If you're looking for something that doesn't take batteries have a look at a trijicon rmr. If that's not your taste I agree with others. Aimpoint t1 or pro

Had them all, use nothing but aim point. They are so fast durable and the battery life cannot be overstated

Personally I don't like the EOTech, I find it much more fuzzy than the Aimpoints. My Comp ML3 2MOA dot feels lightyears ahead of my friends EOTech (I have no idea what the model is though). I also have a Vortex SPARC, I like the lightweight minimal footprint, but the dot isn't as nice as the Aimpoint.

dont overlook the burris AR 332 and AR 536 Those are quite decent and below your budget..

A magnifed fixed power reddot is a poor design.

The reticle is likely fuzzy because you're focusing on it. Stare at the target not the reticle and it should be clear. Another common cause is having the intensity turned up too high causing blooming/flaring
