Good day all.

Well on Saturday morning when I saw that Wanstalls had the 5" pro series M&P 40's in stock I showed my usual amount of self control and bought one immediately. w:h: :dancingbanana:

Anyway, now I'm wondering what optic sight to purchase for it. I am leaning towards the Leupold Delta Point because I am familiar with the quality of Leupold products. It also has auto brightness and motion detection on/off which are features I think I would like. But I gotta admit I don't really know much about these sights so I am turning to the vast wealth of knowledge here on CGN. This will be used for fun shooting out at the range. I don't do any competitive shooting.

What optic sight would you recommend for me, or do you use, and why?

I really appreciate the help.

I had a delta point, and didn't mind it. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mF42dkKfbI)

I sold it.

And now I have a Razor red dot.

I've only used them on rifles I'm afraid, but I like the battery access on the Razor.

If I could do it all again: I'd still be tempted to get a dual power RMR. I like the idea of fiber optic amplification, although I rarely like the result.

Off topic however how do you like the pistol, the M&P Core Pro 9mm??? I am going to look at a new one tomorrow morning and would like a bit of feedback from some CGN's....I know that Jerry Miculek likes it...

when i was watching the video on S&W website they specifically said that with the Leupold you could co witness by seeing the factory high set irons through it.... they failed to mention any other brand in their video.

im sure you can see them through other brands but i found it interesting that they specifically singled out the Deltapoint.

im in the same boat as i purchased the 5" 9mm this week.

so i have a vested interest in this conversation, hehe
