I bought a "Aimtech" mount for my Ruger. It's great! It's totally "non-gunsmith". It literally just replaces the right-side grip panel. (Okay, not so great if you expect to use a fancy Volquartson target grip or the like) It's also cool because it's designed to sit high enough that you can still use the iron sights if you want. I liked it so much, that I bought one for my 1911 too. Although the 1911 version requires a bit more work, as it replaces a couple of pins as well as the grip. (Needs to be more robust to handle the extra recoil) The slight drawback is that the mount (either model) covers up the serial # on the pistol. Not a big deal... until the time you show up somewhere where someone actually needs to see the serial #! (In my case, I just engraved the serial # onto the mount and all was good.)

Uh... how much vibrating do you expect a .22 to do? Both my .22 and .45 sidemounts seem rock-solid to me. Granted, my "speed shooting" with them is only the NRA 25 yd timed & rapid fire stages.

Gotta say though, that "solow" mount does look pretty good.

Rimfiresports used to have it,no idea if they are out of them or what.

The SoLow mount uses the rear sight cutout to keep the scope mount from moving.
It is rock solid
