As above, leave the rail and get a canted mount, several companies offer them, Nightforce also has a nice one you can add to the list of ones to check out.

Maybe try prairie gun traders in avonlea? I don't know if he's a smithy but he's good to deal with.

They have no gunsmith, Im there all the time.

As other have mentioned,,,,leave the rail alone and buy a canted unimount. Going to a smith will probably run you as much as a Spuhr when u factor in smith, gas and time involved.

I am going to use the stock rail for the time being until I am able to shoot far enough to require the 20 MOA rail. After speaking to a gunsmith, I now understand that the 20MOA increase is at the back of the rail. I was under the impression that I required a 20MOA rail to get the appropriate clearance between the rifle and bell of the scope.
