Hey!
I am ordering a CZ in the next 2-3 days, and wish to scope it somehow. I wish to keep it as "old" as possible ( In my mind, AK style rifles have no business wearing picatinny rails, red-dot sights, tactical lights etc... ), so I was looking at a few scopes on Kalinka's website, something along those lines http://ww w.kalinkaoptics.com/detail.aspx?ID=597 and I saw somewhere some kind on rail system for 858' on the left side of the receiver, which is very discrete with no scope mounted. So I have two questions : 1st, What is this mount and where to buy it, and 2nd ( and the most important one) : Will the scope above work with the rail or will it just won't line up? ( with the kinda mount shown on the website I really wonder how to make this work)

Slowbalt.

It's an SVD mount, a low one, and an SVD rail. I bought the mount and rail from an outfit in salt lake city, I forget the name but it will come to me. The rail needs a lump of metal welded to the back to get the mount over the reciever and to clear the step in the side. The reciever is too thin to tap so I tapped the rail and screwed it on from the inside with allen key button head screws. It is not a difficult job.

Spencer uses a red dot .. short enough to ensure that the cases don't hit it. If you want to use a scope (other than say a short 1-4x powered one), you will need to build a deflector.
