I just purchased a Stag-10 and am in the market for a decent optic. I would prefer to walk away from the transaction feeling g like I got a deal.
Any sales on?

Never been a Nikon fan but I've been hearing good things about the Black series

Edit: In all honesty, good glass rarely goes on sale. What's your budget? I have bought my last 3 scopes off of the EE for a good deal. Spent from $500-$1500

If you want a deal the EE is definitely the place to go if you're ok with buying used. Even compared to sale price you'll still save 10-30%.

The EE does have some great deals for sure. I have handled and looked through the black x1000 4-16 and I was more than impressed for the price. It will be my next scope purchase.

The late boyscout on YouTube runs the Nikon on a stag 10. Has a video on his impressions

I trust Nikon optics though i have monarch-3 scopes so can't speak about the others. I hunt hard with my scopes and they get abused.... so far so good.

I want a Leupold tactical prismatic for my stag 10 but it seems they aren't availlable any more... kinda sux.
will probably end up putting my Nikon monarch 3 , 2-8 x 32 on it for now.

Thomas, which reticle are you running in your Monarchs?

Stretch just a little more and go for the Delta styker 4.5-30x56 ..Fantastic scope and is nipping at the heals of the $4000 stuff.

Any info on these scopes? I heard they have a 50x model.

Where are they made ?

Who makes them ?

I'm an avid Sightron Fan have a few of them and the SIII LRMOA 50x are my long range scopes. Looking into other brands for now.

I got the Nikoplex and have calibrated the scope to my ammo with the spot on app. 7mm rem mag
My buddy bought the same scope but with the BDC recticle. He pretend to like it but I can tell it confuses him LOL I prefer the nikoplex by far and find the BDC a bit complicated. The smaller optic I haven't used yet but it's also a monarch 3 with nikoplex 2-8 x 32 I think it is.

I found out the leupold tactical prismatic "is" still availlable so that's probably what is gonna go on my stag 10. I want it for point blank to 200 yards primarily for spot and stalk, deer, bear, moose, elk, wolves and other predator hunting. I'll keep the 7mm for the long range hunting in the wider open areas.

Thx for the info. I didn't realize that the Nikoplex can be used with the spot on program. Will check it out.

I just went this route after pouring through reviews after reviews. I was initially looking at the Athlon Cronus BTR and was set to get one of those. Then I came across the Delta Stryker. Thanks for posting your thoughts on these scopes. I came across them as I continued to do my pre purchase research.

They do have a 5-50X model. It's SFP though not FFP. The 4.5-30X is FFP.

They are made in Japan by the LOW factory. The Delta company is Polish but the scopes are Japanese.

Look up the spec sheets on these. 100 moa elevation on high magnification scopes. The specs are fairly impressive. About the only complaint I can see based off the specs is that the eye relief does change when changing magnification. However considering the magnification range it's fairly minimal. NF and Zeiss have fixed eye relief. Which I do prefer.

The just released Trijicon AccuPower scopes seem to be the same as the Delta Stryker. The initial MRSP for the Trijicon was $1000 more. I noticed they have modified this and are selling at the same price in the states as the Delta Stryker. Without the Delta I suspect the same scope with Trijicon badge would have remained at $1000 more retail.

Well it's at the very top of your budget right now. A few days ago it was out of your budget. So I would say it's a decent deal.

I just bought my Delta Stryker from Hirsh precision. They currently have a sale for 10% off and free shipping. My scopes worked out to $2150 each to my door. That's after taxes and shipped. Providing these scopes live up to the reviews, then that's a heck of a deal. As I posted above, it appears that Trijicon now has the same scope with their name badge on it. Which does give me confidence since they are a well known military quality company.

Some initial info I found:

Seems like they are almost the same scope with some very little difference. Pricing for both is almost the same.

Trijicon:
Made in Japan
Limited Lifetime Warranty
Illuminated Reticle

I'm still searching for reviews (probably in the Fall when they get to the dealers) :(

Delta Stryker:
Made in Japan
10 Year Warranty
Non-Illuminated Reticle

Delta Stryker is illuminated. They do offer one version of the 5-50 that isn’t but the rest including 5-50 models are illuminated. However only the aiming point is illuminated and not the entire reticle. There are pros and cons to this. I sort of prefer it as you won’t get bleeding from the light. Using the drop down points may be harder.
