I've never been a big fan of the millit dovetail rings that are on my 25-06 hunting rifle. My recent travels around the internet have led me to a company that makes a 0 Moa, pic rail for my tikka m695, made from 6061 alum.
I've read in the past that many shooters prefer steel rails to alum ones. I have no experience with Pic rails and rings, but am keen to try them. So, is there a big difference when it come to shooting a light caliber like the 25-06?
I realize that there are a couple great site sponsors that would probably be more than willing to custom drill a rail to suit my rifle. But, buying a part that is already made to suit my rifle could save some headache. Just a little hesitant about aluminum when I want my optics solid.
Opinions?
